He actually built guitars professionally for 10 years so he's not just a guy who changes strings. He's a guitar master craftsman who knows how to get the most out of a guitar. Took my Les Paul in to have the toggle switch repaired/replaced and Phillip was able to get me in and out quickly as I had a short window of time. Honestly, I wouldn't have minded much if he took a little longer as I never get tired of roaming the shop dreaming about my next guitar. There’s few guitar shops that come to mind that I’d take my own guitar to when I need work done. Phil replaced them and made them fit more flush in my guitar again without a tremendous price point.

If I need gear, repairs, or just good guitar vibes, Midwood is the place to go. Amazing atmosphere, great inventory of premium brands and products, and everyone on the staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. Alex has been super helpful on a number of occasions and Phillip (in-house luthier) just took care of something for me on the spot, complete with a quick setup lesson.
